FAQ
Are you based in Majorca or are you transfer brokers?
Majorca Airport Transfers are based in Majorca with offices
in Palma Airport Arrivals hall and Port de Alcudia. We are also
fully licensed by the Balearic Tourism Council. We are not multi
destination transfer brokers operating from offices far away from
Majorca passing transfer work onto agents and demanding payment
up front by credit card.
Can I change transfer details after making the initial booking?
We are happy to change any details of your transfers up to 24
hours before arrivals free of charge (Multi destination transfer
brokers charge up to 10 euros for each detail change once a booking
has been made). Just an email
to us with your new transfer details is all that is required.
What extra charges are there on top of your quoted prices?
All prices quoted are fully inclusive for passengers with 2 pieces
of normal luggage each. There may be extra charges for sports
equipment, cycle bags/boxes, etc. Details of these are available
on request. However, unlike other transfer services we do not
charge extras for child seats in taxis or early morning, weekend,
bank holiday or fiesta days airport pick ups. Nor do we have varying
rates between hours of the day or charge a late arrival waiting
fee when flights are delayed.
How do I pay for airport transfers?
All transfer fee payments are made in Majorca to our drivers
in Euro cash. However, if you wish to pay beforehand by credit
card or bank transference this can be arranged, allowing sufficient
time for the payment to be validated before the service takes
place.
Do I have to pay a booking deposit?
We do not ask for a booking deposit as we prefer to work on trust
with our customers. All we ask from our customers is to keep us
informed of cancelled holidays or changes to their holiday plans.
What happens if my flight is delayed, do you charge a waiting
time fee?
All incoming flights with our transfer customers on board are
monitored for delays from offices in Palma airport to ensure pre
booked transfer transport is always waiting. Unlike other transfer
services we do not charge a waiting time fee.
Where do I meet my transfer driver in Palma airport?
After collecting your luggage exit the baggage hall through gate
B or C.....walk straight ahead between MYTravel and First Choice
offices........turn left, the Majorca Airport Transfers office/meeting
point is next to the First Choice office facing the coach park
and gate 3 exit..... a member of staff will be there to greet
you.......if the office is closed, your driver will be waiting
here for you with a greeting sign displaying your name.
What are the Majorca Airport Transfers contact numbers?
Alcudia Office: (0034) 971 549497
Palma Airport Office: (0034) 971 267126 (not always manned)
Emergency : This will be printed on your confirmation documents.
What shall I do if I can't find my driver at the airport
when I arrive?
Although it is an unlikely occurrence, should this be the case,
please phone our emergency number and you will be directed to
your driver.
What shall I do if I lose my luggage?
Go to your airline's handling agent inside the baggage hall and
advise them. They will arrange for the luggage to be sent on to
your holiday accommodation. IMPORTANT: if you are delayed leaving
the baggage hall, please send one of your party to meet your driver
so he knows you have arrived.
Do we have to walk far to our transfer vehicle?
No. We have allocated parking adjacent to the arrivals hall.
What transfer vehicles do you have and how reliable are they?
Our transfer company is the largest, and we think the best in
Majorca. We have availability from a float of about 380 modern
vehicles various depots and, during the summer season, have a
24 hour office in Palma airport arrivals hall. The fleet of vehicles
is driven by professional drivers and ranges from Holiday/Executive
taxis through the range of minibuses and coaches up to 85 seat
twin deck luxury coaches.
Why is your Holiday taxi service a bit more expensive than
a taxi from the airport taxi rank?
With our service you arrive at Palma airport and will be met
at our customer reception. Your air conditioned transfer vehicle
will be waiting outside the arrivals hall ready for a smooth quick
getaway onto your holiday destination.
Holiday VIP Taxis are large cars, estate cars and people carriers,
usually Class C Mercedes.
With a taxi from the airport taxi rank you must queue in the
heat (sometimes rain) outside for the next available taxi (sometimes
there are queues of some 200 people waiting).
How can I organise my return transfers?
Reserving return transfers are best done through our on-line
booking office to make sure every detail of your return transfer
is properly logged into the transfer company traffic control system
then double checked by our manager in Majorca.
Do I need to confirm my return transfer when in Mallorca?
Yes, please phone at least 24 hours beforehand to confirm we
have all the correct information. If, on your arrival in Palma
airport, our office is open, our representative in the office
will confirm the details with you then.
What if I don't have all of my return details before I leave
for Majorca?
There are now plenty of internet cafes in Majorca for you to
contact us on-line. If you are taking a mobile phone with you
we can call you for the details. Or you can call our Majorca booking
office direct with a telephone number given to you when arrival
transfers are booked.
Will I find a cheaper transfer anywhere else?
Probably, but not with the level of service we offer.
Unfortunately we have people coming to our customer reception
office in Palma airport arrivals hall asking for help when the
transfer company they arranged transfers with and pre paid were
not waiting, leaving them stranded. This is not the way to start
a holiday.
We can not provide transfers on demand so have to tell them to
get a taxi (s) then try to reclaim back taxi fares from who they
booked transfers with.
With a big fleet of vehicles available to us we can usually handle
any situation, especially when flights are delayed, long road
hold ups, bad weather delaying transfer vehicles returning to
the airport, etc.
One man band taxi operations will be cheaper, but what happens
if their vehicle breaks down, especially on return transfers when
you have to be at the airport for your return flight? Are they
properly insured? Will they turn up if a more lucrative transfer
booking comes along?
